I’m a Freelance Creative Consultant and Practitioner working in education and a generally obsessive creator working on a whole host of other wide-ranging personal and commissioned projects. I write and deliver creative projects for communities, schools and colleges , galleries, museums and libraries and work with professionals and individuals to explore their own creativity anywhere and everywhere. I regularly work with The John Rylands Library, The Whitworth Art Gallery and The Royal Exchange Theatre.
As you’ll see from this site, I am passionate about exploring creativity in all its forms and helping others to do the same. I work as an artist, writer, storyteller and musician, often using elements of drama and characters. All these parts of my practice are often inter-connected as well as used singularly. The thing that ties all these elements together is my love of stories…..finding them, telling them, helping others to do the same, searching them out of found objects, lost books, memories, artefacts and inspiring others to do the same…..
I work with nursery-age children to elderly adults, teachers, trainees, academics, prisoners, communities and agencies across the board, and with those who have a variety of needs and dependencies.
I use a wide range of 2D and 3D art forms, techniques and materials in both my educational practice and my own work. I’m especially interested in drawing out language from art, taking it into writing, drama and music. I encourage reluctant writers to write through a variety of specialized projects. And often I simply deliver an art, or writing or music project in their own right.
FOR A LOOK AT PROJECTS I OFFER REGULARLY ACROSS PRIMARY AND SECONDARY LEVELS PLEASE GO TO THE ‘PROJECTS’ SECTION….
I also deliver and assess Arts Award projects across all year groups.
Whatever your requirements, timescale or budget, I’m always extremely happy to discuss any ideas for any creative ventures….
